In honour of us official seniors, now that I have reached the golden age of 65, draft a team of whoever you wan, as long as it is before 1952.

Cap is $65,000,000
All players must be from 1917/18 to 1951/52.
WW - on
ML - on - average
No clones
Relaxed roster
PI - off
Max out - 2
Trades on - 8 to veto

dNot a bad idea - however, I think I will make it that player seasons must be from before I was born - 1952. That will create some new and interesting lineups.

NO because all the teams will be much the same. Pre 1952 works good, though

I drafted a team of 1951-2 and earlier years. Not much there, but if the cap is at 80m, it might get interesting. have you thought of just making it to pre- first expansion? i.e. all players before 67-8 and no twisting? That will give a lot more options and the teams less cookie cutter

That is why I set the years that way - will make people use some of the lesser used guys from the 30s, 40s, etc. that we don't see too often. Lower cap should mean not as many of the high priced guys are drafted.

And don't listen to Glen. He usually fails to realize that themes like this move away from preferred Sh% and D-rating so there are usually a lot less similarity.

No clones - also, ML players to be toned down to make them more comparable to the players of the era.

We have 4 teams in - let's give these under used, forgotten old timers a shot! Should make for some interesting leader boards and outcomes!

Good call, Donald. I am a klutz at best. Sometimes I think my I.Q. is about the same as the average hammer.

Truth be known, themes like this one seldom appear.. So if I do put a team in.. I WANNA BE IN YOUR DIVISION
