So obviously player A is the better offensive player despite player B having a 98 contact rating. However, does the difference in the defense outweigh the offense and base running ability? Thanks!

Important info: Player A hits right, player B hits left.

Start player A, use Player B in some other way, such as defensive replacement at 2B or 3B. Rest Player A for Player B against RHP with very large difference between VsL and VsR. And if you have basestealing set to zero for some reason, the two players are fairly close, especially against RHP.

I've had to play a whole bunch of players very similar to player B lately and they've had really good years. It's caused me to reevaluate the contact rating when it's above 85.

Agree with dedlemans post. I personally love the platoon if you have the roster spots. I'd do that.

To many owners get concerned over a players individual stats. Platooning these too to face optimal pitching will have them have better overall numbers when you combine the two. And both are great off the bench as a hitter/runner/defensive replacement.
