When I do a search for pitchers in 2017 with the last name Diaz, Edwin Diaz does not show up. Yet he does if I take the Diaz name out and search by Mariners in 2017. This happening to anyone else?

Yes. Seems to be a glitch in there with some of the 2017 players.

I was having the same problem with Gary Sanchez.

There are others besides 2017...

I am guessing they imported the players with accents in their names into the database, but you can't search for them that way.

Ya, I sent a ticket about this for 2017 **** Hernandez and they sent me back a link showing he's available. I don't think they're grasping the issue.

I just looked and the ticket I submitted has been deleted from my ticket history. Trying to hide their stupidity?

How many people here have worked for a web development company and/or done web development QA? I suspect the number is >0

Search for "Sánchez" with an accent, and lo and behold, 2017 Gary Sanchez comes up.

Search for "Sanchez" and he isn't there.

I wouldn't know how to add an accent mark

What does this have to do with anything? One needs to have worked as a web developer in order to expect a paid web developer to get it right?

There are many Sanchez's already in the system that come up just fine without an accent.

I do it by googling Gary Sanchez, then copying his accented name from the search results. ;)

No... but all the web developers and QA people here on the website already know what the issue is. Which makes it funnier that WIS can't figure it out.
