Wdym? The DII wanted him more.

*Snicker*

Did you jump on him in the 2nd cycle? Did this battle have a dice roll?
10/7/2017 8:27 AM
I was on Him the whole time, but he wasn't a high priority recruit until the second cycle.
But nevertheless, a D1 perennial blue blood who promises playing time, gives campus visit and 7 in homes should never ever lose to an average D2 school.

WIS, this is why good coaches are leaving.

If one team is going to the final four 75% of the time, that is not good for the game. Georgia Tech is the kind of dominance 3.0 was explicitly designed to stop.

I don't like D2s beating D1s under circumstances like this, but the waaaah EE argument is stale.
10/7/2017 10:54 AM
What were the percentages, and were there any other teams involved?

Probably even more unrealistic than a D2 beating an A+ D1 is if that D2 is the only team to seriously challenge for a recruit an A+ team really wants.

Welcome to the wonderful world of version 3, where the playing field is leveled and inexplicable results abound.

Yup. And honestly it sucks for long time successful coaches like stewdog who did nothing wrong. I get it. But WIS is a business and something had to change.

+1

For people who want realism, this completely flies in the face of that. Promised minutes from an A+ D1 team and chooses a D2 team? Give me a break.

for those of you that want "realism", the fact is there are recruits that would rather be a "star" at the DII-DIII level than be among 12 DI ee-level players at a big6 DI school..being from a mac level school, i've seen many transfers from a+ DI level schools come here for that reason

BIG difference between the MAC and D2.

This guy was promised minutes on an elite program. Not like he was gonna ride the bench.

**he'll be riding the bench next season when promised minutes go to the next ee level player recruited next year!
