OK, I'm pretty sure I need 3 NT appearances, at a minimum, to move up. Is this correct?

I'm asking because we're in RS1. If I'll be eligible after this season, my 2nd NT(along with 1 PI), I don't want to jack up the next user's recruiting in RS2, should my team get snatched up, by offering CV/HV.

At Lander, you would also need at least one win in NT Games. At Western Conn, you have the NT visits, and have a couple wins. The nine wins last season hurt a bit.

Anybody chime in, to jump from D3 to D1 he will also need ten seasons at D3, or can he jump straight to D1?

Just worried about Lander-Rupp(above). I'm planted at WCSU.

I will be taking a low level D1 in Rupp. There are a dozen or so that have never won a NT game. That's a goal.

Check out my resume in Naismith. I was qualified for about 20 D- D1 jobs after last season (Season 97). I only had 4 seasons at D3 (1 PI bid, 3 NT Bids with a Sweet 16 and 2 first round exits) and then 3 seasons at D2 (2 NT bids with a first round exit and a 2nd round exit).

Comparing our resumes I would say you may need one more season at D2. I'm no expert though.

Just making the NT 3 times will not get you a D1 job, and you must have at least one win in the round of 64.

Thanks. That means I'm free to recruit as I please and not worry about the next guy.

You would probably need a S16 appearance (or better) to move up after this season.

I had 3 NT appearances and a S16, and I still wasn't eligible for any D1 teams. I ended up getting Toledo (and later UT-Arlington) after 4 NTs, 1 32, 1 16.

At D2, if you make 3 NT's with no wins, you will have about a dozen low-major D-minus jobs available.

Also, from D-2, i had low-major job opportunities with: 2 PIT's and 2 NT's, though one of those was a PIT championship.

I got a sitemail from someone that said i have it wrong about 3 NT's with no wins getting to D1. But that was my experience. You guys can check out my resume's in Crum and Smith worlds.

Crum with Merrimack:
- 3 NT's, no wins.
- jumped to Holy Cross.

Smith with Hawaii Pacific:
- 2 PIT's (one PIT championship though),
- 2 NT's, no wins.
- jumped to Vermont.

also FYI,
Naismith with Albertus Magnus:
- D3 for 10 years, 7 NT's, one Sweet 16 and only 3 total NT wins.
- jumped directly to Boston U.

Crum you did have 6 seasons at D3 before the D2.

But only 2 seasons of D3 before D2 in Smith. Yeah that's not all that much to make the jump (still more than it SHOULD be but I digress).

Right now I'm a 2 seed. I expect to get a win or two.

In Phelan, jumped straight to D1 Lipscomb, after 9 NT wins in 7 seasons at UWStout.
