Does the "cover" setting apply to linebackers you've set to cover? Or does it only determine how far off the line the secondary setups?

my opinion a good pecker backer has no care where the blanky is

he does his job

always looking for a play to make

secondary sleeps, he is up and at em anyway

It changes the distance from the LoS that every player in coverage lines up at prior to the snap. This will alter the distance to play and angle of pursuit for the players in coverage.
