Here is my guess for the rebound weight is the Rebound Rating Equation WIS Uses:

C-30%
PF-30%
SF-18%
SG-11%
PG-11%

I think your guard #'s are way to high.

Agreed. 3-2 zone would get outrebounded all the time if 40% went to the 3 part.

I've actually had my guards outrebound my centers/forwards on several occasions.

Wouldnt this depend on your defense?

Using FCP against a team that has guards playing at -1 or -2, I could easily see this. Then again, your numbers could be off because you cheated - we have no way of knowing.

Me too but several (meaning like 5)out of like 8000 games

I don't think the guards are too high. Talked to a guy who sent in a customer support ticket and somehow extracted info out of them. No more details.

I run lots of different defense's. On my 3-2 zone teams the rebound distribution is reasonably close to what you posted. On my man teams it's more like 7-7-15-35-35. I can't do my press team in my head right now :)

A lot has to do with level, my one D1 3-2 zone team the guards can actually rebound whereas on my D3 teams my guards often have a single digit rebound score.

D2 M2M just over 20% to guards. FB offense
D3 3/2 zone just over 12% to guards. Motion offense

Pretty surprised by D2 number.

I looked at most of my teams and the way I build teams yields my guards with usually 4-7% of team rebounds.My SF has 8-20% and my post players have 65-75%.


I tend to value REB more than most in bigs an less than most in the 1-3 though.

In Weber, 25% of my rebounds go to guards in motion-man. 17% go to SF. 58% went to my bigs.

That being said, the rebound ratings for my guards (the majority of the year) are 77, 37, 31 and 16. That's how I recruit now a days at DI.

Postscript:
Last night, in a second round game, my guards got 33% of my rebounds en route to a 13 point win. My SFs got 26%.

Those numbers may be more for my style, I would take 40 REB, LP, SB and 66 speed at the 2 over 90 speed 1 reb, LP, SB.
