This will be the 55th season of The Yarnell Invitational (named after Yarnell Ice Cream in Searcy, AR). As always, it'll be a 6 team round-robin tournament that'll occur in weeks 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 of the non-conference schedule. Harding University has been the tournament host historically, and it has been New Mexico Highlands University since season 92. The defending champ from the previous year is an automatic qualifier. The remainder of the field is invitation only.

Apologies for last season’s lack of updates. Generally, my intent has been to provide more publicity to the tournament to make it an event that gets attention and recognition for the teams that participate. Bad timing last season, as a combination of things made it difficult to keep up. We had a very good group of teams last season, as I was looking forward both the the rematch between N Florida nad Wisconsin Parkside, as well as the return of the old Wisconisn Parkside coach back into the Yarnell now coaching W Virginia Wesleyan. Overall, there were several very close games, so it is a shame I didn’t give this the normal attention. To all the coaches that participated, I’ll try to get everyone back fairly soon to a Yarnell with the normal excitement.
