You guys are putting a lot of effort into calling a dude a liar. Just say it and be done with it.

I am not. I'm positive he recalls something. He may just have the facts distorted a bit. Maybe it wasn't Mich State. Or Grand Valley State. Maybe the player wasn't as highly ranked as he recalls.

But, nonetheless, it's not relevant. This is HD and the game is what it is. If you want realism, coach term limits are a start. Accomplished coaches DO NOT stay in D3/D2. Recruiting starts in a player's junior HS season. The list goes on and on.

Who was it?
Honestly don't remember his name, this was in 2005 I graduated High school in 2007 so it was a long time ago. I just remember the situation clear as day as I was shocked.
Are you sure he was so highly rated?

I'm looking at the 2005 recruit rankings from Michigan and all the top players from there chose a D1 team.

This is the Mr Basketball results from 2005. Which HS did you go to?
2004-05
1) WILSON CHANDLER, BENTON HARBOR - 890
2) Michael Bramos, Grosse Pointe North - 341
3) Zane Gay, Olivet - 325
4) Keith MacKenzie, Warren DeLaSalle - 300
5) Brandon Wolfe, Detroit Redford - 236
6) Zack Gibson, Grand Blanc - 232
7) Erik Kangas, DeWitt - 204

8) Jerret Smith, Romulus - 175
Benis is on a mission here lol trust me I did some digging too and found nothing.
This one, mostly. There were a couple of others.

The Tom Cruise image is obviously a joke.

I'm not saying this is a humorless bunch but funny certainly isn't in their vocabulary.
10/19/2017 2:36 PM
Was my post part of this witch hunt? After all, I did ask who it was?
10/19/2017 2:37 PM
Not really. But those who "did some digging" and then questioned him are essentially saying "Bullshit. You're a goddam liar" despite the claim being irrelevant to HD.

There are so many unrealistic aspects of this game that nitpicking one seems nonsensical.

Tom Cruise pic is kinda funny. Doesn't mean it wasn't a witch hunt.

I was just being sarcastic and playing into the humor.

Why does someone need to be "a god damn liar"? They could just be mistaken. This isn't a big deal.

Ever have an simple argument with a buddy about something innocuous?

"The 2006 GTO was a 6.0L Supercharged V8"
"No it wasn't supercharged, it was NA"
"Yes it was!"

*Googles 2006 GTO*

"Oh yeah you're right, it wasn't"

Let's not make this about me.

YOU decided to go about fact-checking an irrelevant personal experience. Was it super life and death important to you to A) confirm the story B) know the player's name C) make sure everyone knew you could not confirm the story?
