You really shouldn't use the term "liberals" so broadly. Most of what you are referring to is not being done by "liberals." Adam Smith and Thomas Jefferson were "liberals."

Liberals, progressives, socialists, etc. are all very different animals.

Yeah, I think Smith and Jefferson would be called liberals today. They would not be called progressives or social democrats or whatever concept activists today are trying to imprint upon the benign term "liberal." I could care less that people, to serve a particular agenda, wish to hijack a term. It doesn't change its meaning in the proper context. When Bing Crosby was singing about being gay, he was not signalling to future generations that he was homosexual. In the context of his music, it still means happy or cheerful every time.

Semantics matter, doug, and definitions are not as easily altered as you make it appear. You want a tip? Stop with the dunderhead reactions and use that mind you have shown from time to time around here. Not everyone is trying to pick a fight with you.

Report: Israel Planted Devices in DC to Spy on Trump

U.S. officials have concluded that Israel likely was responsible for installing surveillance devices in Washington, D.C., including near the White House, and that they were intended to spy on President Donald Trump, a new report claims.

Politico reported Thursday that the conclusion was reached over the last two years. The devices, known as stingrays, act like regular cell phone towers but use technology to obtain information from cell phones connected to them, including their identities, data use, and the content of calls they make.

Trump and those close to him were the targets of the operation, Politico noted.

One former senior U.S. intelligence official told Politico, "It was pretty clear that the Israelis were responsible."

Another source said the Trump administration did not act or even confront the Israelis about the allegations after the intelligence community reached its conclusion.
