Can one of you Trump-haters please help me. Half the Dem. commercials I watch claim that Trump is a failed businessman and is broke, while the other half claim he has so much money that he "needs" to pay more in taxes. Which is it? Why are they making opposite claims? Are they just making things up and tossing them out there, instead of finding out the truth?

Hopefully Madam Secretary's Sunday episode sets an example for someone IRL, to end this impeachment farce that is doing nothing but wasting millions (at least) of our dollars and is taking time away from even trying to do anything good for this Country. Don't want the man as your POTUS? Provide a good enough candidate to defeat him next year.

Whether Trump is a failed businessman or not has nothing to do with whether he should pay his taxes.

Why, why, why have I not permanently learned my lesson? It's been quite a while, but I was for some reason thinking there might actually be a reasonable attempt at an answer given by tang. I should have known better. Still a total moron. The point (clear to 99.9% of the World) is that some Dems are claiming Trump is poor and others are claiming he's rich. They can't even decide from which side to make accusations. That too doesn't even address why they feel the need to make claims about something they obviously don't know.

At least I was reminded of how worthless it is to click on anything posted by tang. See how long this lesson lasts. (It's like an accident on the highway, sometimes you just can't ignore it.)

Honestly I couldn't care less what 'the democrats' say. MY point is that we don't know whether Trump is rich or poor because he hasn't showed his tax returns. He should make them public.

Appeals Court ruled yesterday that Duetschebank and Capital One Bank have to turn over the "records" they have.

I don't really CARE whether Trump is broke (yet) or very wealthy (I mean LIQUID), the FACT is He's a liar. We (as citizens) can't BELIEVE anything he says so he COULD be anything, thus the problem............ he COULD be near bankrupt and using the POTUS to profit personally, OR he COULD be beholden to wealthy Russian oligarchs and others (Putin) who may have damaging info on him and thus he's being USED to undermine US, our Country.

And he COULD be a disarmingly frank, calm and steady, level headed financial genius who knows "more than the Generals" about our National Security, who knows better than 98% of all the world's finest economists, who knows better than the world's scientific community, who knows better than basic common sense about the "value" of a physical finite wall in a world of ladders and drones and technology beyond imagination................

Don't know about you all3 but it's a pretty easy decision for me to make about which possible set of "Could be's" your man Trump really is.
We'll all find out eventually, once the Supreme Court finally gets around to telling your man Trump that in reality He's NOT above the law. That that whole concept was just a part of his alternative reality. The same reality that makes him believe ANYBODY has any respect for him, and that they're not ALL just like the leaders of the rest of the entire modern world----who laugh at him behind his back and believe he's a publicity seeking grandstanding doofuss with bad hair, bad manners, bad ideas, bad ethics, and bad brains! In other words the laughing stock he is! Seen the recent video from London??? hahaha Oh wait, it's freaking embarrassing what we are being betrayed as.

You should be proud! Tiny thumbs up.............. so much winning......... lol.

Bottom line for me is this, bob - IF the man did something illegal or worthy of impeachment, them PROVE IT. So far, Dems have no facts that can do that. A bunch of hearsay and theories, but no PROOF. We're basically at the same point we were over 3 years ago. Doug Collins said it perfectly in his opening statement today.

I'll just say this. The Repugs stated reason for impeaching Dog Clinton was that he LIED! To Us, the people.
He DID. It was about sex. With a youngish woman............with a fairly nice smile. He shouldn't have LIED!
It was a reprehensible thing to do. He should have told the truth, honored the young woman by stating how nice She was and how much he "enjoyed her company" and got about the business of the Country and figuring out how to appease HRC.

I want the same standard (The McCain standard for judging "high crimes and misdemeanors") applied to Trump as the repugs applied to Dog Clinton.
What Trump TRIED TO DO (He's such an incompetent jackass He can't even extort folks properly while POTUS!!) is far far worse than enjoying the sexual pleasures of a young woman. Don't you think?

Do you want the same morality standards of 21 years ago applied to homosexuality and divorce and TV limitations, or even all the lies told about Trump and others (et al) too? Times have obviously changed. (Not that I'm saying that's a good thing.) You don't get to pick and choose what gets treated "old school" and what doesn't.

Truth and basic personal integrity don't change.

People's insistence on them in leadership may have waned significantly in recent times apparently..........at least SOME people's insistence.........

but that just means (bottom line) our societal standards have eroded to even include truth and Presidential integrity.
