they both will play about the same minutes, so maybe this doesnt matter - but who do you think should start?

I’d start the sophomore.

At the end of the game I would want the soph on the floor. To me his much-higher FT and speed offset the IQ difference... and normally I'm big on IQ.

The sophomore. The differences in ATH, SPD, BLK, FT (and to a lesser extent BH) are worth more than the IQ gain. IMO, the differences in play in IQ from B onward are relatively small. That's not to say that they don't exist, but I would play a more talented B IQ player over a guy with A IQ (but would play the A IQ guy over a more talented D+ IQ guy).

I'll add to this topic...... I'm playing a SIM team tonight, M2M Def for both the SIM and myself. Their SG is 38 ATH 88 SPD. Who's my better defender tonight? My freshman, 60 ATH, 68 SPD, 44 DEF, C IQ? Or my junior 61 ATH, 56 SPD, DEF 61, A- IQ? The 88 speed against 56 speed scares me.

speed in this game doesn't work like it does IRL. My guess is that the junior would have him on lockdown due to the huge ATH advantage and great D but overall he is pretty slow to be a guard.

but is the SIM SG a threat? his PASS, LP, and PER rating are also very important in this complex equation.

I get that. And not any more a threat than the rest of the team. No players average double digits. I was just throwing the basics out there. That speed number just had me worried. I was just picturing him getting blown by, every time the opponent touched the ball. (That junior was my first recruit since returning from 3.0. If that tells you anything)

I was wrong on that. (I must've stupidly clicked on another team) He is actually their leading scoring. And they have 3 double digit scorers.
