Time for me to come up with another league that focuses on the draft. This one will be fairly simple.
First, the basics: No WW, no ML, No Trades, No PI, No Clones, Relaxed Rosters, Max Players out = 2, $100 million cap.
Also, as is standard for my leagues, all 23 players on your roster must appear in at least 20 games. Failure to do so results in disqualification from the playoffs.
Now, let's get to the details.
Your entire roster will be comprised of players that were drafted in the 1st round of the NHL Entry Draft(Amateur Draft). There are a couple of restrictions.
1. Each of your players must have been drafted by a different NHL team. So, you can only have 1 Bruins 1st rounder, 1 Kings 1st rounder, etc. You can use any season of their career.
2. You are only allowed 1 player who was chosen #1 overall. These players will be exclusive. We'll have a 1-round draft to select your exclusive #1.
3. There will be a rookie salary cap. Your exclusive #1 overall pick is exempt from the cap, but everyone else must have a salary between $1 million and $5 million. (Changed from $6 million to $5 million on 3/10)
