NDB - You can set both TEs and 1 RB to block on a run
WB - You can set the TE and 1 RB to block. The other RB that is not running can't be set to block?

That's correct. Although I don't know if anyone knows for sure if blocking backs actually improve things much on a running play.

There is old information on this topic spread throughout development chats.

RB and QB are probably the 2 most influential positions in the game. Qb is obvious ; he passes. And RB can receive and run(and maybe block ?). So what better than WB where you can develop 4, maybe 5 RB at same time. Yes, 3 start, but the 4th will prob get credit as starter since he will be getting plenty of work as will probably the 5 RB.

My recollection of the old developer chats is that all players (other than the QB) will BLOCK on a running play. Their blocking is based on their "influence". Example: WR won't have much, or any, influence on an inside run.

The "setting" for blocking is for passing plays......meaning the FB and/or TE stays in to block vs running a route. And you are correct...that additional RB in the Bone is going to be a receiver on a pass play. Nothing you can do about it.

That would be unfortunate if true.

Yep, trying something new based on what you just said. Talked to Ebel about it and sounds like a good experiment.
