Let's Play Two: Season 36
4 Available Franchises
Let's Play Two is a world with a big core of solid owners that tends to roll pretty quickly. We're a low-drama league, and we have a lot of fun each season! This offseason, we've got 4 teams available, and they may not last long. The available squads are:
NL West:
Honolulu (65-97) **CLAIMED**
Draft Slot: #7
Payroll: $16M, with 7 players in arbitration (5 in first year of arbitration)
Honolulu is a team that is in the midst of a rebuild, and has secured a protected, top-ten pick for the Season 36 draft. They have some exciting young ML players, including SS
Jolbert Nieto, SP
Jolbert Lee, as well as some MinL talent like RF
Louie Martin, and C
Clyde Servais. With the right owner, this franchise could make a relatively quick turnaround, and is one of the more exciting, young teams in our league.
AL North:
Chicago (87-75) **CLAIMED**
Draft Slot: #20
Payroll: Roughly $71M, with 2 players entering arbitration
This team saw an 11-win increase from Season 34 to Season 35, and could continue to improve from there. With a talented ML roster including guys like SS
Stone Stults, Closer
Al Wells, SP
John Davis, 25-year old RF
Yunesky Astacio, 2B
Francisco James and plenty more, this team has the arsenal to compete for quite a while, and plenty of payroll flexibility to make new additions.
AL East:
Indianapolis (98-64) **CLAIMED**
Draft Slot: #30
Payroll: $54M, with 5 players in arbitration
Indianapolis finished as one of the very best teams in Let's Play Two in Season 35, and enters Season 36 with an astonishing $54M payroll, leaving plenty of flexibility for future owners to invest in prospects and development while competing, or adding a bit to the payroll to add some more ML talent. Among players to be excited about from this franchise include SP
Ordomar Troncoso, SP
Brent O'Flaherty, C/DH
Footsie Washington, RF
Tex Faulk, Closer
Ray Martin, and many more!
Boston (65-97) **CLAIMED**
Draft Slot: #8
Payroll: $28M, with 6 players in arbitration
In need of a rebuild, Boston is an interesting case in that they have some veterans who could be traded for prospects, like Ace SP
Cleatus Helms, LF
Felipe Ibarra, and CF
Danny Marson. However, Helms, age 24, and Ibarra, age 29, are also young enough that our new owner could decide to hold onto the stars and go for it sooner rather than later around a prime-aged core group of players. Other young assets to be excited about include 2B
Theo Bowie, SS
Farmer Ryan, SP
Pedro Rodriguez, and P
Wladimir Quintero.
Please reach out if you have any questions, and consider joining us for Season 36 and beyond!
