It's a Major Award! - $90M - Unique Years - FULL Topic

Choose an exclusive year from 1957-2016. Choice will be first-come first-served by response in this thread.
From that season, select 1 MVP, 1 Cy Young, 1 ROY, and 2 Gold Gloves (Gold Glovers can be from the same or different leagues).

Now construct a roster that includes those 5 award winners + 20 teammates from those 5 teams. No twists. (Note. . .you aren't required to have exactly 5 teammates from each team. . . .the only requirement is that all 20 teammates come from your 5 teams).

Award winners must be from 5 different teams. .. and you can't roster more than 5 award winners (e.g. you choose 1992 and Greg Maddux as your CY . . .that means you can't select Mark Grace as one of your Gold Glovers because he and Maddux are on the same team, and you can't select Mark Grace as a teammate because he won a GG....basically Grace is off the board for you).

Additional rules:
Standard 24 team league
Salary cap: $90M
Clones, DH, WW, AAA, Trades: NO
Injuries: YES
Division Alignment: Random
$300K Exception: YES - you may roster players under $300K who are not teammates, but they must still be from your year.
Park: Use a park from your year used by one of your 5 award winners
Team Name: Include your year

If the same player won multiple awards (71 Vida Blue) your options are simply reduced by one.
If there were ties/multiple winners (76 NL ROY) your options are increased by one.
From 57-66 there was only one Cy Young winner. . . .so those years are reduced by one.
In 1957 there was only one set of Gold Gloves (NL and AL combined), so for 57 your options are reduced by 9.

If a single player won multiple awards, you are free to choose him for any eligible award. . .i.e. if a pitcher won CY and GG, you can select him as either your CY or one of your GGs. So technically you could end up with both CYs or both MVPs on your team if your year fits this scenario. (Example: 2011 - Kershaw won both CY and GG, so you could take him as one of your GGs and select Verlander as your CY).

If an award winner played for multiple teams during the season, you choose which team to use for teammate purposes. Example: 2015 Yoenis Cespedes won a GG playing for both the Mets and the Tigers. You simply choose which one to use, either the Mets or the Tigers.

The term "award winner" only applies to the 4 awards we are selecting (MVP, CY, ROY, GG). . . .so it's fine to roster teammates that won a Silver Slugger or Rolaids Relief, or some other award, those have no significance in this theme.

Once you've decided on your 5 award winners please update the corresponding thread in the "Theme Leagues" forum. I will then follow-up with a list of ineligible teammates. Link to thread: https://www.whatifsports.com/forums/Posts.aspx?topicID=505554#l_11308567

Good choice! I tried 85 last season at the $100M cap and they performed well.

I'm going to try the ridiculously high salary pitchers option of 1968. Will either be brilliant or a complete disaster. :)
