Cause he said **** the Sux?

No. Because he's considering the Padres.

Hard not to consider San Diego when thinking about a place to live in the United States. Best city in America.

Boston did the high profile Japanese guy thing.....all set on that

Someone should get him a map though, if the Cubs are still on his list.

I figure Maddon is crazy enough to let him play right field in whatever shift he is trying out that day. Or use him as an OF'er/reliever that bounces between the mound and the field and that was in the proposition.

Is he coming to play baseball or enjoy the weather? They don't play much baseball in SD.

Hard to argue with that.

I think they play 81 games there.

San Diego has a lot going for it in this bid.

1. West Coast
2. Great pitchers park
3. Weak offense (more likelihood of him actually getting to hit/play the field)

And who knows, if they get Otani and make some other semi-intelligent moves (which is a stretch), maybe they become a WC contender.

Do they? Or do they field a team?

You wrote that as if it’s an either/or. Yes, they play 81 games in SD (81 on road) and also field a team.

Yeah, this is one of those stupid arguments you love. I'm not overly interested in it tonight. SD had a good run in the mid-2000s. Even including that they've had like 4 .500 seasons in the last 20 years. They don't play winning baseball. I know you don't give a damn about wins/losses but, if a kid doesn't want to play in the post-season, I question his heart. That's all I'm saying.

"heart" might not be right. Priorities might have been the better word.

I don’t think it’s really much of an argument. I get your point. But if a player wants a small market on the west coast with a decent chance of winning moving forward, the M’s and the Padres are probably the best bets. The M’s are competing now and the Padres have a loaded farm system.

Padres have a 'loaded' farm system? Thats an overreach.
