Congrats to dlchow. His 1988 Dodgers team (with a little help from Duke Snider) won the Season Six ("October Baseball") World Series!

So with Season Six now in the books, we'd like to get Season Seven launched ASAP. Sign up today!

We're two-thirds of the way there. We need eight more teams.

Another team that I'd like to throw out there is the 2011 Philadelphia Phllies. I personally managed the 2009 Phillies to the postseason in Season Six (October Baseball). And I believe that the '11 Phillies might be even more competitive under the Twist w/ a Hero rules. They've got a solid bullpen and a "core four" of starting pitchers to build around: Roy Oswalt, Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels and Cliff Lee. An offense built around Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins gets downright nasty if you were to add a guy capable of stealing 100 bases (1895 Billy Hamilton), a .400 hitter (1894 Ed Delahanty) or a Triple Crown threat (1930 Chuck Klein) to the lineup.

I will take a 2nd team. TBD

Absolutely! Welcome!

Also, via sitemail, sawbuxx is taking the 1990 Pirates as his second team.

zephry1949 is already in with the 2004 Cubs. They've got the exclusive right to them in Season Seven. Do you have a different team you'd like to claim?

Still looking for five teams so this league can blast off. One "under the radar" team that I'd like to suggest is the 2010 Chicago White Sox. They've got a lot of impressive bats including Paul Konerko, Juan Pierre, and 2018 HOF ballot players Manny Ramirez and Andruw Jones. They've also got strong bullpen and a trio of capable starters in Chris Sale, Jake Peavy and Mark Buehrle. Adding Eddie Collins as a Hero would help make that offense outstanding from top to bottom. Of course, a Hero like Ed Walsh would elevate that pitching staff to one of the best in the league. The choice is yours.

O Canada! Via sitemail, Jesters has added a second team by picking up the 2008 Toronto Blue Jays. That makes 3 Blue Jays teams and 1 Expos team in TWAH 7. I think it's very possible that at least one more Expos team will be claimed. Will this be the first season that a Canadian team takes the league title?

Now we need 4.

I'll take a second team with the 2009 Dodgers.

Now we're down to three openings. If we can maintain this steady progress, we'll likely get this league filled before I see The Last Jedi on Friday!

I previously mentioned my belief that one more Expos team could go be snatched up in among the final few selections. In my opinion, the 1989 Expos could be very tough in this format. An offense built around Larry Walker, Marquis Grissom, Tim Raines and Andres Galarraga could be very tough if Gary Carter was added as a Hero. Then again, it might be hard to resist the temptation of adding Max Scherzer to a rotation that already features Randy Johnson, Dennis Martinez and John Candelaria. Either way, those Expos could be a potential contender.

I’ll take 2000 Yankees (Clemens is on the HOF ballot) and Lou Gehrig is my “Hero”.
