Any good reasons not to jump to d2. Topic

Haven't had great success in D3 but the population is kind of a bummer.

Outside of padding your win totals I don't see a reason for most people to stay at D3 more than 3-4 seasons. By then you should have a basic idea of things and can compete in D2.

Depends on how you like to play. I enjoy building a D3 powerhouse but just started a new team to try out D1.

You seem to have a good understanding of the game and I think you'll do just fine at DII if you choose to go up. It is personally my favorite level to play and unless you feel unaccomplished at DIII, there is probably not a good reason to not to jump to DII.

I stuck around in D3 for a while, but that's because I actually went to the school I was coaching. I'm sure there isn't a massive amount of folks on here that went to NCAA DIII schools though.

Depends. If you want to move up to D1, you can probably do that quicker by staying where you are at. You have a good record at Moravian and are probably a sweet sixteen run away from qualifying for some low-level D1 jobs.

I played at Wilmington in Ohio but never coached there.

D2 is more fun in 3.0

Meh. I've enjoyed D3 more. Maybe because D2 was just a stepping stone to D1 but I developed ZERO attachment to my D2 team. All I cared to do was win enough to move up.

To each his own.
