Actually was thinking the exact same thing as Zorzii.

65-35 sounds about right to me as well.

Preferences are definitely weighted differently. What was VH, VH, etc for each team?

I have it a little lower than that, like 62-38 but it depends on the two middle preferences and prestige’s.

It was 62-38 so TJ was spot on...

in the order I put them it was playing time, wants success, perimeter o, strong conference.

I was surprised by this but I guess I shouldn’t be. I thought prestige counted for more.

Wait...since when? In 2.0 a full letter grade was widely regarded as a 40% advantage, with 1/3 of a letter grade being (40^(1/3)) and 2/3rds of a letter grade being (40^(2/3)) advantage.

I wasn't aware of any changes to how prestige advantages worked in 3.0, other than they appear to matter less. And I use the word appear because prestige used to be 100% of the calculation where now if a player has 5 preferences prestige is roughly 1/6th of the calculation now.

I always used 70%.

I was guessing one of the VH's was distance, which threw my totals off a bit.

That's definitely on the very high side. I had a sitemail from Gillespie awhile back that broke it down pretty well but the gist was 40%. Jdno and tianyi, among others, also used 40%.

Anyone know the impact of coach longevity for preferences??
