Division 1
Team A:
A prestige, 25 minutes, start, 20 HV, CV, 385 APs
VG: wants to play, triangle, and long-term coach
N: Strong Defense and FCP
VB: Wants Rebuild

Team B
A- prestige, start, 20 minutes, 20 HV, CV, 810 APs
VG: wants to play, triangle, long-term coach
G: Strong defense
N: FCP
VB: wants to rebuild

Fairly certain both teams did promises first then visits after.

I’d say A 57-43

Disagree with you Trenton. I would say B 62 A 38.

Definitely team B. 60-40
12/16/2017 12:48 PM
Team B 59-41

Maybe even Team B 65-35 or around there.

55-45

I went back and checked and I think it is really close.

i have team a at 29.6 hvs before multipliers and team b at 35.8.

after multipliers I have a ahead 36.3 to 35.8.

it really depends on how strong the good defense is, how long each coach had been there and how strong the a and a- are.

i wouldn’t be surprised if you guys were right and it’s 60-40 B but I tend to undervalue ap and over value presitge compared to the group think.

So, I was surprised at the result as well. It was 61/39 in favor of team B, which I thought was more in favor of B than I thought it should have been.

Then it made me think about two of the preferences a little more, specifically "wants rebuild" and "long-time coach." The coach for B has been at his school for 20 seasons and coach A for 12. Is there a cap on how high of a "very high" you can get for longevity? (Maybe this was discussed in beta, I didn't participate though). Similarly, I'm assuming team B's "VB" for "wants rebuild" was less bad than team A's given A had the higher prestige. I've seen several people state they think the "wants rebuild" preference is fairly powerful, and which would be explained by these results.

There is a.cap on wants long term coach. I asked on a ticket and they said yes. They didn't say where it was but I assume its around 20....Just cause that makes sense. I have no evidence to support that.

Yeah I was team A, I have lost all 6 of my last dice rolls at VT(3 this season and 3 last season), half of them with me being ahead, and there is still time left in the session!

The game must have caught on to the real life trend of VT losing recruits, a couple of weeks ago all 3 of their 2019 class decommitted on the same day.

Don't forget that the actual multiplier of each preference is on a gradient scale.

So the VG of Wants Success isn't exactly the same (most likely). Also on the Strong Defense, Team A's Neutral could be right on the edge of Good while Team B's Good could be right on the edge of Neutral (or on VG). You gotta look at the actual ppp numbers to get a better idea on the strength of the preference.

I'm surprised at the difference as well. I still wonder about the value of AP. - monster - did you offer the minutes right at the beginning of recruiting, before doing the visits and most of the AP?
