Exclusive 20-Game Loser League (FULL - Waitlist) Topic

The object of this league is to choose a pitcher who lost 20 games in season from this list on baseball-reference.com: https://www.baseball-reference.com/friv/20gameLosers.shtml., then build your best $90M team by twisting your chosen pitcher and his teammates from that season. Your chosen pitcher must be included on your roster, and you must use the park that your chosen team called home, or WIS park if your field in not available. No clones, DH, AAA, WW or trades. Teams will be aligned chronologically. Please join by posting your chosen pitcher's name, team and 20-loss season in this forum. Pitchers are exclusive, even if they had more than one 20-loss season. First come, first served. MLB120829.

Rule clarification: You may use any player who was active on your chosen team's roster for at least 1 game even if they are also being used as another owner's exclusive 20-game loser.

Rule clarification 2: If you choose a pitcher whose 20 losses were split between more than 1 team, you must chose one of those teams from which to create your roster.

Thanks guys! 6 in so far. There are more than 200 20-game losers to choose from, and most of them can be competitive with a $90M roster cap. Please give it a look.

What if the guy we're interested in played on a team that didn't have 25 guys on the roster? Do we fill in the missing roster spots with $200K players?
Or are those guys/teams ineligible?

Good question, SG. I'm not allowing $200k exceptions, even though I realize that it rules out some older teams with short rosters.

Does your 20 game loser have to be the season in which he lost 20 games, or can you twist him as well?

Thanks for the question. Yes, your 20 game loser can also be twisted to any season of his career.
