MLB 121077

Pick a year from one of the above Leagues and that will be your exclusive year.
Now pick a popular movie (or even an unpopular one, off the wall one, I don't really care) from that year and name your team after that movie.

for example:
if I pick 1954,
I could pick "Dial M for Murder", and Alfred Hitchcock produced film that is a classic.

You will have 6 AAA position players who are way above average and 2 pitchers way above average on your team. Pick them from a pool of 60 position players and 20 AAA possible pitcher selections. fictionous names that you change.
Re name those AAA with actors from your chosen movie.

In the above example I could pick Grace Kelly as my 1st baseman. (I know a girl playing 1st).
Or even Alfred Hitchcock catching as he made a cameo in most of his films.

Because of all the AAA talent, the rest of you team will be made up of actual players who appeared during your chosen year.
Use any stadium that was active during your exclusive year.
Divisions will be set up in chronological order.

60 mil cap
6 AAA position players way above average
2 AAA pitchers way above average
No clones, ww, No trades, No live play. No DH.

Pick your year, your movie and your cast of characters. Many movies to chose from. I will pick mine after the 12th owner signs up.

See you at the movies

You lost me with the "Way Above Average" additions...60 million is a great challenge...Getting Jimmie Foxx as a gift doesn't add to the challenge...

You could get Foxx and sacrifice your pitching quality fo him,
your choice

1953 War of the Worlds.
12/30/2017 11:51 PM
You could get Foxx( as a WAA AAA) and not sacrifice any pitching.

I think that is what he was questioning.

Correct...I don't want to pick a team and then get a free bonus of Foxx, Gehrig, Feller, etc....I'd rather just play 60 million...Forget the luck of the draw aspect...Anyway, I'm sure you'll have a good time...

Are you equating the way above AAA players to luck of the draw? I suppose it would. What I failed to mention is that you would pick those 8 AAA player from a pack of 60 AAA players. It turns the “real cap to a range of 120 mil to 160 mil. So really, all owners are relatively in the same boat. Thanks for your encouragement
