2017 players -- some results Topic

I haven't seen much in this forum concerning performances of 2017 players, so I thought I'd start a thread. Please post your own results below.

I entered an OL team with eight 2017 hitters. Home park was Yankee Stadium (III) so I was hoping the HR totals would come close to RL numbers. Nope! Too many deadball pitchers in -3/-3 parks.

I haven't seen many/any updates on the 2017 player performances either. I'm using several of them in various themes. Here are some excerpts:

Anthony Rendon: .260/.367/.438 with 19 homers and 87 rbi (.977 fld% at 3b, 0+/9 - plays)
Bryce Harper: .324/.424/.587 with 30 HR in 521 PA
Wilmer Difo, /293/.346/.356 (.955 f.pct at SS, 4+/0- plays),
Daniel Murphy, .302/..356/.466 (14 HR)

Wrapping up the FootballGuys Back to the Future league which is 2017 players only (and based on an actual draft, so only 1 of each player). The league ERA is 5.50.

Leading the NL MVP race is Marcell Ozuna playing in Safeco.
Leading the AL MVP race is Joey Votto playing in Miller Park.

Daniel Murphy playing in Ameriquest is batting 420/483/746 with 34 HR and 61 doubles. (!!!)

Stanton (59) in the Trop, Judge (56) in Yankee III, and Smoak (47) in Ameriquest are the big HR hitters.

Playing in Ameriquest, Billy Hamilton has a staggering 324/381/421 line with 96 steals and 19 CS.

Chris Sale in Busch II is the NL Cy Leader
Scherzer in Citi Field is leading the AL

James Paxton (in Miller Park) is leading in ERA (2.10 in 150 innings). Severino (2.23 in 198 innings at the Trop) is 2nd.

Buxton and Ender each have 23 + plays in CF to lead all players in + plays.

there is another 2017 guy, Adam Engel who is A/A+ (Real Life Range at 3.04) He sounds like Ender, but I think jfranco is talking about Enciarte, correct? anyhow, Engels gives you 336 PAs for $2.32M. The problem is his AVG is .166 and his OPS is .517. BUT, he has 90 speed and an 89% SB rate. I like that he fanned 117 times in 301 ABs while walking only 19 times. how do you use this guy?

Yeah, I was talking about Ender Inciarte.

Put him in Coors so he gets on base enough to make the speed and SB% worthwhile? He might be able to eek out a .300 OBP in Coors or another offense tilted park.

I have to think there's better ways to spend 7 million. 308/352/389 and 718 PAs. 87 speed but only 5 triples. With that OBP you want fewer PAs since he really shouldn't hit leadoff. I'd rather get an old time guy and live with some errors. (Max Carey '23 for 6.4m comes to mind, or Jimmy Barrett 03 for 6.5 if you want more OBP than speed. Hell, even '56 Ashburn has a .388 OBP for 6.87mil and has better range than Ender, and he's a B fielder which isn't bad at all...)
