I just had Taylor Douthit finish a season with 58 + plays...21 more than the second place fielder.

That's by far the highest total I've ever had. Curious as to how high a total others have seen.

That's the most I've ever heard of.

I believe I once had Dave Bancroft at SS make something like 51 plus plays for me.

I had the rangy Art Fletcher (1919? without looking up) make 48+ plays for me once. Never had more, at least that I committed to memory. Fletcher was such an outlier that year that it stuck with me.

Jt, what park was Taylor in?

Sportsman's Park (III). He was also playing in front of a weak 1920s Cardinals staff, so I'm sure there were a lot of balls in play.
