Motion/3-2 zone. To me, it comes down to BH or DEF. I kind of think the ATH/SPD differences offset one another. My back-up defenders at the other positions aren't exactly high DEF but are more than adequate in ATH/SPD for their positions.

Or is it a match-up thing? Against Press, I think it has to be the FR.

Silly Mike, a PG can’t have 48 BH.

Might be the reason he's 2 or 3 on the PG depth chart.

I usually need more offense than defense off the bench, but I also value IQ in the pg position. Tough call. I think I’d probably go player 2 against zone and weak man defenders, player 1 against the press and strong man defenders. But that’s more depth chart shuffling than I like to do. I would also consider just going with player 2 in that slot until player 1 has an IQ of B-.
ETA -I had these flipped, fixed now.

Player 2 was recruited to play back-up SG next season. I tend to recruit more D at 2nd stringers. I may be doing it assbackwards.

Did you promise minutes to Masters?
1/12/2018 2:32 PM
Doesn't seem pertinent to my question but, yes, 10 minutes. He was green in ATH/PER and I expect him to start next season. Won a 45/55 battle against a conferencemate. The pissy one talking about BH in this thread.

Or maybe not. I've got one of them 2nd, the other 3rd at PG and the 3rd at SG.

Right now, P1 is 3rd at both PG/SG.

That info is incomplete without IQ.

Suffice to say the FR has low IQ, the SO has better IQ. D and B-, I think, in both sets.

And, yes, I could confirm but I don't think your intention is to offer advice. I've begun to put your replies in the same circular file under my desk with benis' responses.

Then the IQ and DEF advantages seem to carry the day, unless he turns it over an awful lot.
1/12/2018 5:44 PM
I tend to agree with shoe's assessment but, unfortunately, that's what I already thought so it feels like I was looking for confirmation. I wasn't, I hate when people ask questions but only want confirmation, but it kinda feels that way.

Anyway, due to lack of responses, I'm going to give them equal minutes and see who produces better during the non-con.

Please play player number two when it comes time to play UMB. Poor boy won’t be able to get it past half court before being eaten alive.
