Might as well just eliminate Blazer now lol. He clearly has no idea about the Winter Olympics lol

Actually Raider is just as bad. Last Winter olympics as a whole; the most medals won was 28 and gold was 11. That was in the entire Olympics.

Looked at it again; yeah Raider is for sure out; unless the Swiss hit that 10 exactly.

Didn't the post say 35-40 events? That would mean 105-120 medals available correct? Looking at the people in the events it appeared highly unlikely that a country not listed here would grab a bunch. Then you have sports like partners figure skating where six medals are awarded because 2 people receive the medal (can't forget curling too). All in all there seemed to be about 150 medals available and my (and raider's) projections seem to reflect that. I have never followed winter Olympics in my life so maybe I'm missing something though

If the Hockey team wins a gold it only counts as one medal; not every member of a team.

Yeah I did not know that, which is perfectly fine...I understand this is a know-it-all challenge. I'll just count my lucky stars that oldave missed the deadline and raider put down more medals than me

Yeah; I think you’ll be fine unless he hits an exact number. Also; a bunch of us could end up getting zero.

dangit. this actually would have made it interesting to follow the olympics. kicking myself.
