Signs a World has Owners with Multiple Teams Topic

Would like to hear how people evaluate worlds/owners to determine likelihood that owners have multiple teams in that world. All thoughts welcomed.

A pattern of trades between the same teams, with one side getting the better of the deals consistently.

I had a guy we suspected of multiple accounts. He made all the right signings and the little things in offers that you only catch with experience. I asked him and he denied. He left 3/4 way through the season.

I've always wonder if an owner who obviously has $20/$0 scouting or vice versa for their draft, yet takes the opposite kind of player for their first pick, is just hoping for a lotto ticket or if they've got a sock puppet scouting the other end.

This is a good one, although perhaps a little harder to track since the days when the budgets were public. I've occasionally wondered about teams with hundreds of seasons under their belts and no wins, but perhaps more attention grabbing are "brand new owners" with 6-8 teams.

Does WIS have measures in place to fight this issue, or is it only examined when other owners submit tickets?

Some owners just suck. That's all.

I hadn't heard the term "sock puppet" before the last little while. Kinda like it.

I don't think they care to fight the issue. They just count the money and do as little as possible.

HBD has long been monitored, and ran, by commissioners. Without them doing ALL the legwork, HBD would have died years ago.

Once you've identified suspects, you can check on their log in times - sloppy cheats will often login a similar times over a course of several days.
