Our league is also a mix of a lot of veteran owners as well as some younger blood in HBD with a few seasons under their belts. We like a lot of chatter on the message board and generally a good mix of involved owners. Be ready to make some trades and bid on some free agents!
NL franchise 75-87 record - #10 pick
Only 2 seasons removed from a 92-70 record. Does have about 8 players going to arbitration. They are anchored by a stud 24 year old LF that should hit 45-55 HRs a year, entering his first full season. In AAA there are a couple players ready to come up.
AL franchise 89-73 record - #23 pick
Last six seasons finished with 89, 97, 93, 107, 105, and 94 wins. But plays in an extremely tough division. The team finished 7th in hitting but in the bottom half in pitching. They do have some payroll challenges with only 7 players making the minimum and 9 players headed to arbitration. There isn't much immediate help in the minors but not totally void of talent. A stud SP and some great hitters to build around make this a playoff team!!
