Steinbrenner is ready to start Season 26. There are 5 available franchises for your viewing pleasure. Please take a look and pick your favorite today. The nominees are:

AL East
Durham Franchise-The rebuild has already started here. Durham's previous owners made a concerted effort to acquire young talent. The fruits of their labor have not been realized yet. But, will you be the one to take this team to its first playoff appearance in 10 seasons? Come finish the job.

AL South
San Juan Franchise- This once proud franchise has fallen on hard times the last three seasons. However, the ML roster has some good, young talent to work with and no ridiculous contracts. The minor league system has nice talent form recent draft picks. If you are into rebuilds, this one has already started. Make a few more trades and get this thing on the road to winning.

Texas Franchise- A long time Steinbrenner owner, greffb1, had to let this go. We are looking for a good owner to step in and rejuvenate this one. Texas has been a consistent winner in the past but fell into mediocrity in recent seasons. The good news is that greff knew what he was doing and left good talent at all levels. Joel Nevin was the #14 pick two seasons ago and is one of many. Plus, you have the #12 pick this season.

AL West
Las Vegas Franchise-Another long term owner left this one prior to last season after many years of winning. The new owner just couldn't get it figured out and bailed after one season. I think this situation is a good one because the franchise was well taken care of for years. No stupid contracts to deal with and a veteran core of good ML players. You could go either way--start trading vets to rebuild or sign FAs and try to make the playoffs. A pitcher friendly park would help this one.

NL West
Colorado Springs Franchise-Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner! The CS team is a historical winner in Steinbrenner. They won the WS just a few seasons back and had won over 100 games 8 seasons in a row at that point. The roster still has tons of talent. You like taking over a winner...this is the team.

PLEASE NOTE: When you joined this league, you agreed to these rules.

1)Minimum wins 55/120/185

2)Never put your ML team on AI. Only exception if you are going on vacation and notify Commissioner BEFORE putting your ML team on AI

4)Max Cash Received in trades is $10M. You can not at any point in the season receive more than $10M in all of your trades. If a trade becomes pending that puts you over that threshold, it will be vetoed. If for some reason it doesn't get vetoed, you will be asked to reverse the trade.

5)Keep your minors in shape. We had rules in previous years to have a minimum of 12 pitchers on every minor league team at every point in the season but if you can do it without fatigue, then go ahead, have 11. In addition, make sure you have 2 catchers so if one gets hurt, you don't have a player playing out of position. And do not grossly play a player out of position, ie C playing SS. If you violate this, you will be asked to correct this.
