Tandem Fatigue / Autorest question Topic

If the 'A' part of your tandem is below his autorest setting does the whole tandem get skipped in the pitching rotation or does your tandem B get the start in that case? Anyone know?

I don't know for sure but I think the whole thing gets skipped.

Now, if the B is tired but the A is rested, the A will pitch anyway and then Sparky will go to the bullpen. That one I do know.

Thanks, I suspect you're right that it just gets skipped but will know soon enough with one of my teams.

I agree with jfranco. I've seen the entire tandem skipped when the "A" guy is below his auto rest. it has led to disastrous results for me!

Always start the guy with higher IP in the tandem. Always. For exactly this reason.

"A" being tired skips the whole thing. "B" being tired just skips him.

And I know my tandems.

Tandems are best used by active managers who make alterations. If you Set 'em and Forget 'em, don't use Tandem. Tandem B pitch count is unpredictable, especially when using pinch hitters.
