In D1 Bryant, I just lost out on the Nebraska job that went to ebel. I believe I had a strong resume at Buffalo, even when compared to ebel at South Florida. Can someone tell me what I'm missing? Don't understand why I didn't get this job? Btw, no disrespect meant to ebel in any way, just surprised I lost out.

He had two Level 5 bowl finishes in the last three years, with one of them being the most recent season. Additionally, South Florida is a BCS school which carries more weight than a non-BCS school if everything else is equal.

I don't disagree, but i thought, or hoped, that the difference in a L5 to a L4 bowl would be evened by multiple consecutive conference titles against none. Live and learn.
