I've wanted to try this idea for awhile. Upon entering the league, you'll be assigned five years between 1920-2017. All sets of five seasons will be drawn from random.org when you sign up. If there's enough interest, someone can draw my five seasons. Using at least three players from each season, and without whining, you build your team.
I excluded dead ball pitchers because teams with dead ball pitchers probably have an automatic advantage over those without.

Salary Cap $100K - you'll have holes in your roster if you spend too much on one player.

If you draw five seasons with no players of $225K or less, you may have two exceptions of $225K or less. Still have to use three players from each of your five seasons.

I've built a number of teams on my own with five random seasons; I felt like all of them would have been competitive. We will also see some players who aren't used too often.
