The New Dynamic Progressive League is wrapping up our second 1886 season, and we have an immediate opening for our fifth season, 1889. That franchise is the Pittsburgh National League Franchise.
In our current format, from 1885 - 1891, we operate as a 16 team league with an 8 team American Association and an 8 team National League with a World Series between league champions.
Both Boston and Pittsburgh are around for the long haul, with Pittsburgh joining the NL in 1892, and both franchises surviving to the golden age of the 21st century.
1892-1899 : The League scales back to a single 12 team National League. For WIS format purposes, we will be placed in two six team divisions. The plan is to recognize the top regular season team as the champion, with the unofficial World Series existing for credits/reward points only.
1900: For one season, we operate as an eight team league. for WIS format purposes, we'll double up, with an unofficial AL operating independently, just for the sake of continuity.
1901 and on: We expand by eight teams, with the 8 existing teams in the NL and eight brand new expansion franchises in the AL. Owners of previous franchises are invited back first.
