My how time has flown by. Just this week I had my 14th anniversary here at WIFS. Hard to believe I’ve been here that long. I’ve enjoyed my time here. I’ve met some good people, made some friends and have won a few games and a couple of cups along the way. But, as with most things, it is time for my journey here to come to an end.
I still have a couple of teams in my team center, so you may still see me pop up in an Open league now and then as I use the rest of my teams in search of my first Open League cup, but I will not be purchasing any more teams. When my teams are gone, so am I.
With that said, I would like to go out with one more league. As most of you may know, my favorite player is Stan Mikita. So this last league will feature Stosh. Rules are simple, but challenging.
Everyone must draft a Stan Mikita and he must play on a regular line as well as both a PP line and a PK line.
Now the challenging part.
Stan Mikita must be the highest salaried player on your team.
No player can have a higher D-rating than the Mikita you chose. All players must have a D-rating BELOW your Mikita.
No player can have more points than the Mikita you chose. All players must have fewer total points than your Mikita.
No player can have more Points Per Game than the Mikita you chose. All players must have a LOWER PPG than your Mikita.
Example: if you choose the 74-75 Stan Mikita
All players must be below salary of $6,280,516
All players must be below D-rating 74 (73 would be the highest for all other players)
All players must be below total points of 86 (85 would be the highest for all other players)
All players must be below 1.09 PPG (1.08 would be the highest PPG for all players)
Other Rules:
All Forwards & Defensmen must have played in 75% of the games in the season you choose, EXCLUDING GOALIES.
You must draft 4 C, 4 RW and 4 LW for your lines. SCRUBS do not count toward these totals
All Scrubs must $165K guys, any position and follow the same restrictions as all other players.
You can only have 2 goalies and Save % on both must be below 91%
NO Clones, unless you want to clone Mikita. If you do, the highest salaried Mikita will be who all others are compared.
CAP: 125,000,000
MAX out: 0
No ML, WW or Trades or PI
Strict rosters
The owner who’s Mikita wins the Hart Trophy at the end of the season will win my league founder’s credit. If another player wins the Hart, then the Mikita with the highest point total will receive the league founder’s credit.
Count me in, but I can't draft until Saturday, if that's alright.
