How much of player fatigue is influenced by position? For example, a DH vs Catcher. All other things being equal, how much faster does the catcher fatigue?

I personally haven't noticed a difference. I think catcher's just happen to fatigue quicker because they generally have a lower durability rating.

It's hardly noticeable but C, SS, 2B and CF seem to fatigue just a little faster.

First team I ever had, the best hitter had 74 DUR. The previous owner had him in LF and only got him into 124 games the previous season. I moved him to 1B and he got 155 games, averaged 145 games for the rest of his career.

Pretty sure position plays at least a small role.

I also have a 1B/LF type who managed 149 games once in LF, but I had him down to 95 to do it.
This year I started him at 1B and he hasn't dropped below 100 yet and we're at the 142 game mark.

Too long. Show your work.

I tested it in the minors years ago. Same DUR, different positions. The corners fatigued slower. I don't remember the exact numbers but it was just a few games/ABs. I suspect fatigue is affected by AB/innings played(DH still counts as playing the field) with actual plays made in field also being a small factor. I also think actually getting on base is a factor but I'm less sure of that and did not test it.

So what you're saying then is that you had a guy once

It was several guys. Nonetheless, what you got other than long-winded replies?

I had a 99 durability catcher who played every inning every season, and would get down to like 97 or 98% at the end of the regular season. FWIW.

I had this question with Player Profile: Rhiner Limon - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports and his 69 durability, so I tested it.

In S36, he got 518 plate appearances in 120 games playing in RF (rest at 97%)

In S37, he got 553 plate appearances in 113 games at DH and 10 in the OF (rest at 97%).

So the difference in having him DH was a whopping 35 plate appearances. *shrug*
