This one is a little bizarre and I'm not even sure what the results tell us, but here goes. This is for D1 and the kid was a transfer and only preference was "wants to play."
School A:
160 APs, schollie
Prestige in RS1 B, prestige in RS2 C+

School B:
100 APs, schollie
Prestige in RS1 C, Prestige in RS2 B-

All effort was done in RS2. The kid signed on the 2nd cycle of RS2 before either team could put any additional effort towards the kid.

Looks like team A is at 54.

If it wasn't Very High to Moderate (or Low) then they do in fact use the new prestige.

Both teams had a chance to sign.

I have team A up 17 to 7 which is ~ 70% of the effort.

Maybe a silly question, but since I'm fairly new... How do you know how much effort the other team put into the player?

Using the updated prestige I would say 52-48 B.

My theory is this : prestige is almost similar. High C+... 60 ap is a HV. One HV is 3-4%. Now Darnoc, what's the answer

If RS2 prestige is used then I would say that team 2 has to be higher.

But it is tough because the difference in prestige could actually be very small since we can't tell exactly.

I'll go 60-40 team 2

Edit: Actually I'll go closer to 55-45 team 2.

Team A signed the kid and A was a 70% favorite. TJ was spot on.

Didn’t think it was going to be such a disparity-thought it’d be closer.

Fascinating. 160/260 = 61.5, then you factor in stretch odds... That B- and C+ must have both been marginal.
