Teams from the NL South
The former Jacksonville franchise (
Franchise Blog - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports) is in excellent shape at least on the offensive side of the ball. They have a few big contracts, but only one bad contract. They have the 14th pick. They sign their picks and have a few good young players.
The former Iowa City franchise (https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=3063) is a true rebuild. Older, expensive players with a great recent history (3 titles). They have the 8th pick.
The former Houston franchise (https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=3062) is ready for your TLC. They have been drafting in the top 10 for a decade straight, have no terrible contracts, no ML talent to speak of, and the #1 pick. A team ready to be built in your image.
AL South
The former Little Rock franchise (https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=3048) is stuck in the middle. The have been kicking around 73-89 wins for a while and have the #16 pick. They have no bad contracts, but they do have ton of mid range ones.
AL West
The former San Jose franchise (https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=3056) has won back-to-back-to-back division titles, and looks like they still have the talent to win another. They have the 21st pick.
The former Omaha franchise (https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/FranchiseRatings.aspx?fid=3055) hasn't done much the previous 3 seasons, but if you go back 1 more season they were a WS winner. They have the 6th pick.
