Was it fun watching Babe Ruth play?

We didn't see that but we do remember watching the great Sandy Koufax and Willie Mays. (And we were around when Kennedy was shot)

Unfortunately, I only remember watching old Mays, as a shell of himself in a Mets uniform.
Thank goodness for all the clips of him earlier. What a player.

I saw Juan Marichal pitch the second game of a double header against the Phils at Candlestick in May of 63. They warmed up for the second game on the playing field mound which looking back seems strange. Say hey was in his hey day. It was fun being a kid at that time in San Jose.

I can not resist although I doubt my pitching will be competitive. 1950-1954.

Even alston didn't see the Babe. If you were 10 in 1950, then you have me beat by around 14 years. Glad you still can and want to do this!!

I was a Dodger fan growing up in San Francisco. I saw the first major league game in SF in Seals Stadium in 1958.

No shade in either stadium for the fans
