I took a long hard look at those 60's Astros teams. . . .some good talent there.

With my first team, I'm going to go with the 2017 Houston Astros.

There's something magical about 2009 in the Twist w/ a Hero leagues. I've personally managed the '09 Cardinals (NL Rivalries), '09 Phillies (October Baseball) and '09 Dodgers (Super Skippers) to the postseason. Another 2009 team that I seriously considered for Season 9: New Kids on the Block was the 2009 Texas Rangers. Their offense is loaded from top to bottom with big bats like Ivan Rodriguez, Josh Hamilton, Andruw Jones, Nelson Cruz, Ian Kinsler and Chris Davis. You'll definitely be able to opt for a Hero like 1974 Fergie Jenkins or 1989 Nolan Ryan to help out Kevin Millwood and the rest of the pitching staff. The bullpen is deep. I'd say the '09 Rangers would be strong contenders for a postseason spot... We're two-thirds of the way full, so sign up today!

Sorry, but the Yankees are a franchise that came into existence long before 1961, so no Highlanders/Yankees teams are eligible for this season of Twist w/ a Hero. Also, Rickey Henderson is on the Heroes Blacklist for Season Nine since he was used as a Hero in Season Eight.
