Anyone have a clue as to the best team defense rating for a D2 squad ever?

D rating? I have seen 76 overall. I had 73 once.

A few in the low 80s right now in Naismith. I’ve seen as high as 82, that I can recall. No way to know the highest, since there are no detailed historical team archives.

I know from an old preview in Iba, cubcub's NW Nazarene team in season 96 had an 83 team defense before the season started, which would have put them in the top 5 of D1 that season. Bentley is 83 after 6 games in Iba right now. I don't recall seeing higher than those two.

I am at 79 before the season starts.

4 red
5 black
2 blue and 1 green

Would be 14th in D1

I was curious to know if it was the highest, figured some guys had teams hit 80’s before.

Until you actually say what your secondary account is, you’ll continue to be a nobody.

I don't remember what I had for an overall team defensive rating, but had 4 starters with 100/97/96/92 by the end of the season at CSU Chico. Couldn't have been in the 80s as we carried 2 or 3 walkons.

Each of the last two seasons with my Tiffin squad, we've ended the season with a team DEF rating of 80+. Both of those seasons too, if you took the guys that actually played meaningful minutes, the average was probably closer to 90, like the starters at the end of this season being 91 PG, 99 SG, 100 SF, 99 PF, and 81 C, with a 98 DEF being the first guard coming off the bench.

Nice ATH/DEF on your squad. Team is pretty slow though, I have been aiming to have one of the fastest group of guards on my LA squad this season.
