For anyone unfamiliar with how these are put together, they use the last 5 seasons and only measure NT and PI success. Wins, CT titles, RPI, SOS don't factor in. Well dang, I was number 1, but that loss to N. Colorado in the Elite 8 dropped me to #2. Guess I'll have to try to take back the top spot this season

No chance I'm holding on to the top spot after this season, Berg. I think you, CSUS, and ACU all have a shot to dethrone me.

With the 5-season window we use, it isn't just what you do this season, but also the season that falls out of the 5-year window. For N Colorado, there will still be 2 title games, 1 F4, and 1 E8, with a S16 falling out, so they should still be very close to the top even without a long NT run. This most negatively impacts W Chester (who won the title that year), N Kentucky, and Shaw in next season's rankings when season when season 98 is no longer included.

When I have more data, we can extend it out further than 5 seasons, though, if folks think that is better. I just used 5 seasons since that is what alblack did back in the day and it takes a little while to compile the data, so 5 years was quite enough.

...hey, don't go further than 5 seasons, I haven't been at Tiffin that long.
