i saw the first episode...it looked ok but i got the feeling it was going to become very tedious and eventually boring so i decided not to continue watching it.

I wait until shows have at least 3 seasons before I'll invest my time, now.

Deadwood and Rome burned me good.

Both great shows and far too complex for your pea brain to comprehend.

That's a shame.

Not saying it was the best show ever or anything, but I found the story line intriguing.

I was especially fond of the complexity of who the "bad guys" really were.

The homeland director is portrayed as a bad guy, but he is really only doing what he thinks is necessary to preserve the human race going forward. So is he really a bad guy?

Then the APEX chick. According to everyone else from the future she really is the bad guy, but she certainly seems like a decent person (revolting against APEX leaders to save her adopted human daughter).

I was looking forward to how this show might unfold.

how can a show get cancelled after 1 or 2 episodes.
there used to be a show on tvland called impastor which had 2 seasons and was cancelled on a cliffhanger.....they could have at least one closure episode after they cancelled it.
