Do you have a link in how this list is formulated? Just curious...

No link, I'm just putting the NT/PI results each season into excel and using a scoring for how far teams make it. Alblack was putting these together up until a couple of years ago, and I don't have his formula, so I just came up with one on my own. While I'm sure there could be disagreement about how much a PI title is worth compared to a 1 and out in the NT (and I'm not counting PI titles as being worth much), I'm basically setting this up along these lines. Missing the post-season entirely gives a negative score. The PI, first round loss is worth almost nothing but it is positive. Each round a team makes it further in the PI, they get a slightly higher score, but it is still not much. By the time we are looking at the NT, I start making the differences between rounds greater as we progress. For example, if the difference between getting to the round of 64 and 32 is 40 points, the difference between the round of 32 and S16 is 50 points, and so on. The impact is that deep NT runs are highly valuable. This accounts for five seasons, and it is weighted to make the most recent season more important and seasons less important the further away they get. If anyone ever wants the file, I can email it to them.

Thanks for putting these together. One of the reasons I joined IBA D2 was to see if I could get a program into these rankings. This is a great world for D2!

Great to hear, I appreciate it! I think Iba was probably the strongest D2 world before I got into it. Lots of history and activity. Folks like alblack keeping up with the dynasty rankings and hackerhog and greenhawks were running 3 non-con tourneys at once. Thought it was the coolest thing when I took over New Mexico Highlands to see all that. Be great if we can attract a few more coaches again to D2 Iba (since D2 is a far superior set up to D1 in the current state), and even better if we could get another coach or two in the Northern Sun to compete with the Peach Belt's and CVAC's a little better (shameless plug).
