How much can you expect a 1 WE player to improve over 4 years if they start all 4 years? Will they even improve at all or just move backwards?

They won't improve. They will mostly stay stagnant, only take a 1 WE player if his current ratings are good enough as is.

You can get 10+ points of growth in one stats over 4 years if it is green, you use a lot of minutes, and you start him a lot. Some stats will go down though.

I have an example, I will bump it for you.

Here is a recent example of mine. I would only recommend offering a scholarship if you need a quick 1 year fill in. This player started on my D3 team his Freshman year and now as a senior rides the pine.
