Rockets were like 14-1 without Ariza. His value to that team has been greatly exaggerated.

I guess we'll see - his value over replacement relative to Melo is a net negative and this doesnt account for the additional loss of Luc Mbah A Moute (a similar player) or the potential decline of PJ Tucker at age 33 - in short they still dont have any wing defenders and will eventually have to reckon with the Warriors line-up of death if they intend to do anything important and I'm highly skeptical of Melo having anything to do with an answer to that equation

doesn't mean Melo doesn't make them worse.

did you know that Ryan Anderson is 41st all time in 3 pt field goals, and Trevor Ariza is 42nd?

Rockets = laughingstock to end last season AND laughingstock to start this season.
At least they're consistent.
