Taint, wylie and Tang. Not so fast. Don't dodge. Are you calling me a liar when it comes to premade salad prices at Market Basket. Yes or No?

I have no idea what a Market Basket is, I have no idea what you call a salad, I have no idea what you think is worthy of 3 people sharing.

No I'm not calling you a liar.

If I call a plumber and cannot pay him he will not fix my toilet. If I call a doctor and cannot pay him he should not be forced to treat me.
**** the poor, amiright
The poor who have iPhones, wear Air Jordans and have Playstations? Or the actual poor?

If you call a plumber, will he fix your toilet for free? Yes or No?
Phones are pretty vital to life these days. Also, these people are still poor. Common myth.

No.
You can get a cheap flip phone. Don't need an iPhone. So if a plumber will not fix your toilet why would a doctor treat you for free? A doctor who spent $500k to garner their degree? I'd be fine if the Gov't paid the doctor's debts and forced the MD in exchange to treat those who cannot pay them for 10 years say. But you cannot force someone who has bills of their own to treat those who pay them less than others. That is pure insanity.
Fair enough.

A treatment is far more important than a broken toilet. A treatment could be a life changer. People need those.

I don't parrot anyone. I have my own opinions.

No.
Phones are in no way essential to life. That is ridiculous.
For my job, they are. Maybe not an iPhone but a flip phone for most people is.
9/19/2018 11:14 AM
Exactly. You have a job. You can afford to pay for your own phone. Phones may improve quality of life a bit. I feel like mine lessens my quality of life, but whatever. But they are in no way vital to life.
9/19/2018 11:20 AM
One vital thing for many poor people is connections. It has been shown that allies/connections really help people get out of poverty. Phones are pretty important for that.
9/19/2018 11:23 AM
If you would be so kind as to show me the data that shows that free phones have lowered poverty rates, I would greatly appreciate it.

I said iPhone. I said Air Jordans. I said Sony Playstation.

They are not "poor". They are gaming the system.

B) stupidity
C) a combo of A + B

That article provided no evidence correlating mobile phone usage and lower levels of poverty. It basically just said a bunch of people have phones now and the UN feels that it is beneficial.
