And asylum seekers who don’t have access to money?
They need to raise some through church and or family members. Maybe you can contribute and sponsor a family since you feel so passionately about it? My parents have sponsored over 10 families in their 40+ years here.
Meh. The US gornernment can easily bear the burden of the occasional illness or injury suffered by asylum seekers too poor to pay for it themselves.

This is certainly isn’t a reason to stop granting asylum hearings.
shouldn't the US government be more concerned about bearing the cost of caring for its veterans before they care for people who are not even citizens?
I don't think it's an either/or situation. We are capable of both.

Why not do both?

How? We are already so far in debt, but we have enough money to take care of everyone?
11/9/2018 12:13 PM
Soooo if we can pay for veterans, we can pay for asylum seekers.
11/9/2018 12:14 PM
I didn't say we could pay for either, just that we should take care of our own before we take care of others.

This is my point. Its a YOU problem. My parents pay their own money to sponsor families making it a ME problem for themselves. I think we should move to doing it this way. Have private citizens sponsor families. Not rely on the Gov't. Religious organizations may help too. We need to start taking ownership for the debt and the spending.

So if you can afford a computer it automatically means you can afford a new fridge? No. Sometimes you have to have priorities.

That's simply not feasible.

Yeah, we do. We also had enough money that we had a huge tax cut.

The number of people granted asylum each year is relatively small. We take in about a million legal immigrants a year. Of those, about 50,000 are due to asylum.

But its feasible to spend more Gov't money? Why is it feasible for my parents? please explain.

We have government money. We can easily spend it.
11/9/2018 12:23 PM
It's the government's job to handle immigration issues. Even hardcore libertarians know that.

"issues"? They are trying to handle it and we disagree how. So you think my parents were outliers? LMAO. They stepped up. Maybe you should to or STFU. Money doesn't grow on trees.

LMAO, as someone who doesn't understand the difference between a credit and a deduction, you should stay out of tax discussions.
