Hm. I'd probably do it again, but I'd rather have the fresh set of players than the draft collisions. I think there would be more, not less differentiation, considering that the entire remaining pool would be quite different than the same ol' high salary players that get used so much. But I do see your points, Mike.

Yeah, and I understand not wanting to see the same old players after a while too. What I mean by less differentiation is in reference to the abilities of the available players. Player A and Player B would be more similar than the choices we had to make this time. This is also the reason there would be fewer collisions -- players would be more interchangeable / similar.

If the collisions aren't a focus, we should just have a normal draft :)

Not in favor of a blacklist of all the players however a smaller one blacklisting players from the teams that made the playoffs could be a good compromise.

For what it is worth, I agree with ozo - no blacklist!

I think it is fun to have a 2nd chance at a wonderful format just as it is; no blacklist and no salary caps.

Additionally, blacklists create another dimension of complexity that I try to avoid in my WIS time. I elected not to play the second go of the other theme like this for that reason. I, for one, would probably not play if there is a blacklist.

Just stating my own interests. If collisions are what we want, then, is there a way to engender more of them? Just throwing it out there.

Have specific rounds, where only pitchers are chosen? Only starters or only relievers? Only fielders? Only infielders, or outfielders plus catcher, by prime positions?

Interesting ideas but I am strongly opposed to these at this time.

I am not interested in more collisions or any artifice.

I like the purity of anything goes during the draft. Do I risk a collision or do I avoid that with a potentially inferior selection? Do I make a jump that surprises the field? What is my, and other's, strategy? When does that change?

Anyway, valuable dialogue. This is how we will arrive at a thoughtful theme. There may be avenues yet to be discovered.

That’d be fun. I’d play that way.

pedrocerrano wins two LDS, I only win 1. Looking like he may take the victory if he can get both into the WS

We'll see. I still can't believe I lost game 4 to you on a Keith Hernandez walk-off grand slam.
