71. Homers Yes, Average No - At least 8 players must have 30 home runs or more. All position players must have a batting average of .290 or less.
72. Screwball Theme - All pitchers must have been known as screwball pitchers (may use the Neyer/James Guide to Pitchers as a source for identifying pitchers)
73. Submariner Theme - All pitchers must have been known as submariner (may use the Neyer/James Guide to Pitchers as a source for identifying pitchers)
74. All Skipper/ No Gilligan - Every player will have managed in MLB for at least 50 games (using Baseball-Reference.com as the source for verification).
75. NY/NY Theme - Every player must play for a NY-based team.
76. Bay Area Theme - Every player must play for a San Fransisco or Oakland-based team.
77. Boys of the Pac-10 - Every player on my team will have attended a Pac-10 school.
78. Pennsylvania Theme - Every player must play for a Pennsylvania-based team.
79. Lordy, Lordy look who's 40 - Every player must be 40 yrs old or more.
80. 19th Century Theme - All players must be from season 1899 or earlier.
81. Windy City Theme - Every player must play for a Chicago-based team.
82. R.O.Y.S Club - Only winners of Rookie of the Year Award are on the team. Twisted to any season of their career.
83. Tribute Theme - Pay tribute to a favorite player. Use that player as many times as you want. Fill in the remaining roster by twisting former teammates.
84. Field of Dreams Theme - All players must have graduated to the next life.
85. California Dreamin' - All players come from a team in California.
86. Alive and Kicking Theme - All players must be alive as of the beginning of the season.
87. 80's Theme - All players must come from the 1980's.
88. Defunct League Rebels - All players must come from the American Association, Players' League, or Federal League; no players from the American League or National League.
89. Herb Washington Theme - All hitters are in need of a pinch runner - Position players must have a speed rating of 65 or less.
90. You Have Just Been Carded - All players must be under age 21.
91. Four Letter Word Theme - All players last names must have four letters.
92. The Perfect 10's - Players from 1910-1919
93. Sesame Street Letter of the Day Theme - All players' last names begin with the same letter.
94. Single Team Twist - Twist any single team from the roster listed on Baseball-reference.com
95. Crayola Theme - All players will come from a team that has a color in the team name (ie Red Sox. White Sox, Blue Jays, Browns, Blues, Reds)
96. 500-HR Club - Must have at least 8 players who have 500 lifetime HRs
97. Great Lakes Theme - All players must come from teams based in Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, Toronto, Chicago, Toledo, Rochester, or Milwaukee.
98. 25 Consecutive Seasons - Players are selected one each from a set of 25 consecutive seasons.
99. Binary Theme - All pitchers must have allowed 0 or 1 HR
100. Scrabble Bingo theme - All players must have seven letters in their last name.
101. WIS Rookies - All players must use their WIS rookie season
102. One-season Surprise - All players that had one great year that was above their usual season.
103. MVP Cy Young Twist - All players willl have won a MVP Award and all pitchers a Cy Young Award, but you can't use the season they won one.
104. Cardinals Championship Twist - Twist 2-3 players from each Cardinals championship team.
105. NOT Born in the USA - Only players who were NOT born in any of the 50 United States
106. Star of David - All players are of Jewish heritage as listed from either www.baseball-almanac.com or www.jewsandbaseball.com
107. Pitchers Strike and Batters Walk - All pitchers must average a strikeout or more per inning, and all position players must walk at least 15 times per 100 plate appearances.
108. College Guys - All players will have played college ball -- not necessarily graduated.
109. "Noah's Ark" Theme - Pick 12 players and clone them once each. 25th player must be Noah Lowry, Arky Vaughan, or Curt Flood
110. Rip Van Winkle Theme - Each player, in the season chosen, must have played 20 years earlier or later than another player on the team. E.g. 1964 Player A &1984 Player B; 1912 Player C & 1932 Player D; etc. 25th player is 20 years apart from any other player.
111. Franchise Strengths - All starting position players from one franchise, bench from another, roation from a third, and bullpen from a fourth, no twisting, using a park from one of the franchises.
112. MVP & Cy Young - Starting lineup must be made up of players in their MVP seasons, and the pitching staff is comprised of pitchers in their Cy Young seasons. Fill in position players as necessary.
113. Am I Just a Number? - All batters with same BA. All pitchers with same ERA.
114. "The Gulf Coast" - Use only those players born in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and/or Florida.
115. The Babe Ruth Years - all pitchers are from the years that Ruth pitched (1915-1918) and all position players are from the years Ruth was in field (1919-1935); the team may carry both Ruth as a pitcher and as a hitter (one instance of each).
116. Homers in Petco - 8 position players must have at least 20 HR's and at least 3 pitchers must have given up at least 20 HR's.
117. Even Stevens and the Century Club - All pitchers will either have WHIP of 1.00, ERA of 2.00 or OAV of .200. All hitters will have either AVG of .300, OBP of .400 or SLG of .500
118. The 100s - pitchers must total at least 100 wins and saves and position players must total at least 100 in doubles, triples, home runs and stolen bases.
119. The 300s - starting pitchers will each have 300 career wins, bullpen pitchers will each have 300 career saves and the starting 8 position players will each have 300 career home runs.
120. Anywhere But Here - Select a franchise, and make your team up of players who played for that franchise, twisted to a season they did NOT play for that franchise.
121. This One's Got 11 - Every player was born in 1911, the 11th day of any month, or wore #11 for the bulk of his career. Born in November does NOT qualify unless it was November 11th. Anyone named Nigel Tufnel is also eligible. This theme comes from the Spinal Tap movie.
122. RBI Machine - Position players most total at least 1000 real life RBI.
123. K-9 Corp - All players will have 9 or fewer strike outs. All pitchers will 9 or more strike outs per nine innings.
124. Talk the Walk - All players must have become broadcasters. Does not include occasional or very short term stints.
125. Core 5 - Pick 5 core players, then twist their teammates to fill out your roster.
126. Same Age - All players will be the same age (per baseball-reference.com, which uses age as of June 30) in the season drafted.
127. Lean on Me - The salaries of five players will use at least half of the salary cap.
128. Rhymes With - All player names (may use first or last) must rhyme or end with same two or more letters.
129. Take One For the Team - All pitchers hit at least 1 batter/100 PA. All hitters got plunked at least 1.5 times/100 PA.
130. The Walking Dead - Each member of The Walking Dead will be disentered, exhumed, disembalmed or dug up from a different state.
131. Young Guns - All players must be 25 yrs old or younger.
132. World Series Tribute Twist - Start with the teams from two different World Series matchups, then twist those rosters.
133. Total Base Ballers - There are 29 sim seasons w/ a minimum of 400 TB (total bases)...For this theme, you must use at least 5 of them...For your other 3 starters, they must have at least 350 TB (the best catcher season is 355)
134. Joe Shmoe - All my players will have first names of Joe or Joey
135. The Patronyms - All players must have their last name end with "son"
136. Klones - Every player's last name has to begin with K and every player has to be "kloned" at least once.
137. I-70 Corridor - All players must come from a team from St. Louis or Kansas City.
138. Formula One: Clone P + D = ? - Choose 2 pitchers and clone them as many times as you want (at least twice each). Add additional pitchers to complete your staff as necessary. All position players must have an A+ rating in either fielding or range.
139. In Need of a Closer - All pitchers chosen have zero saves in the season drafted.
140. 30-30 Club Theme - Must have 7 position players that belong to the 30-30 Club, and a catcher who is a member of the 15-15 Club.
141. Balls in Play Theme - Pitchers with K/9# of 3.00 or less, Hitters with K/100 of 0 to 7.5
142. Z end of the line - every player's last name ends with a Z
143. Part-Time Status - All players must have partial seasons; no full or combined seasons allowed.
144. Couch Potato Theme - Choose one of your favorite TV shows. Every player must represent cast members or their characters from the show. Recurring characters and the actors who play them are OK. One-time characters better be memorable (i.e. The Soup Nazi) in order to be allowed.
145. A League of Their Own - All players must have names (first or last) that also can be women's names (i.e. Babe Ruth, Adrian Beltre, Pat Listach, Stan Belinda, Chris Carpenter).
146. Born in the 19th Century - All players must be born in 1900 or earlier.
147. G.I. Generation - Includes the veterans who fought in World War II. They were born from 1901 to 1924, coming of age during the Great Depression. Journalist Tom Brokaw described U.S. members of this cohort as The Greatest Generation in a book of the same name.
148. Silent Generation - Also known as the Lucky Few; born from 1925 to 1945. It includes some who fought in World War II, most of those who fought the Korean War, and many during the Vietnam War.
149. Baby Boomers - Born following World War II, ranging from 1946 to 1964. Increased birth rates were observed during the post-World War II baby boom making them a relatively large demographic cohort.
150. Generation X - Commonly abbreviated to Gen X; born from 1965 to 1981. As adolescents and young adults, they were dubbed the MTV Generation.
151. Millennials - Marked by an increased use and familiarity with communications, media, and digital technologies; born from 1982 to 1997.
152. Rock & Roll, Baby - All 25 player's last names will be the same as the last name of a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame... same spelling, no duplicate names.
153. One Jersey: All players played their entire career for one franchise. Must have played a minimum of five seasons.
154. The Simpsons - Use the 10 MLB players from the episode "Homer at the Bat". The remaining 15 players will have names of characters from the show (first names: Homer, Moe, Barney, etc.; last names: Simpson, Burns, McClure, Prince, etc.)
155, Single Drivers Under the Speed Limit: No fielder may run faster than 69, nor may he have more than the following: 2B/100#: 4, 3B/100#: 1, HR/100#: 2, hence "singles hitters."
